Who we are

Baybay ("the app") is a free, offline Tagalog phonics app for young learners, developed by Jayson Suyat ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information we collect

None. Baybay does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive information. The app works entirely offline and does not require an account, sign-in, or an internet connection.

Information stored on your device

To make the app useful, some information is saved only on your device and is never sent anywhere:

• Child profile names you choose (e.g. a nickname), stored locally.
• Learning progress, stars, and streaks.
• App settings (such as sound on/off).

This information stays on the device, is not readable by us or any third party, and is removed if you delete the app or reset progress in the app's settings.

No ads, no tracking, no third parties

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.
• No permissions beyond what Android grants by default; the app requests no internet, camera, microphone, location, or contacts access.

Children's privacy

Baybay is designed for children and is safe by design: because it collects no personal information and has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no external links or communication features, it complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families policy. We do not knowingly collect any data from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this address.
